@ratzfiz: I only know mini-chess. It's played on a 6x6 board without the bishops. The pawns are not allowed to move 2 steps in their first move and there is no castleing. It's really nice! You can challenge me on Brainking, if you like. All other variations I know are also 8x8 or even bigger. 2013/09/18

@shogirandy: Maybe there are also some interesting small variants of western chess ? 2013/09/12
